Who we are
Venture Web Designs is a web design and photography studio operated by Callum O'Rourke and Cameron Nalder in Devonport, Tasmania. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and in the course of our work, in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Details you enter in our contact form: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in, your approximate budget, and your message.
- Information you share with us directly by email, phone, or in person while we discuss or work on your project.
- Basic, anonymous website statistics, such as which pages are visited, used only to understand how the site is performing.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, deliver the services you've asked for, and stay in touch about your project. That's it. We don't send marketing emails you haven't asked for, and we never sell, rent, or trade your details to anyone.
How we store and protect it
Both of us hold ICT degrees majoring in Cybersecurity, and we treat your data the way we build our sites: security first. Your information is stored on secured, access-controlled services, is only accessible to the two of us, and is kept no longer than we need it for the purpose you gave it to us.
When we share it
We only share personal information with the service providers needed to run our business, such as website hosting and email services, and only to the extent required. We may also disclose information if the law requires us to. No other sharing happens without your consent.
Cookies and analytics
This site may use a small number of cookies and privacy-conscious analytics to understand how visitors use it. These don't identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time without losing access to anything on this site.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email admin@venturewebdesigns.com.au and we'll sort it out within a few business days. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to this policy
